Japanese likes bath. We bathe every day. I bathe two times in a work day. I bathe after breakfast every day. I think I had unusual habit about bathe. Every Japanese bathing after work. This picture is general Japanese bath system in my house. This size is slightly larger. There are many sizes and someone were not stretch legs in bathtub. Even now there are a lot of bath of this type. My home in Tokyo had a very small bath like this. I had taken a bath like this size for 20years.

In the bath keep the water and we can use many times. The people who likes clean or single life are not keep the water maybe. When we had a big earthquake this keeping water was very useful for toilet water and dish-washing water. The floor has a little inclination as superbly no feeling. The pooling water is overflowing when we had soaked. There is a drainage on the floor.

We wash our body, hair and face on the floor sitting. We not wash our body in the bathtub. The bathtub is only soaking. So shower curtain is not popular in Japan. It is no need in Japanese bath system. Japan is very humid. The bathroom is most humid area in the house. This situation mold is growing easily. We had a maintenance about mold. Please look this photo again. The little dirt on the tub lid and brown dirt on the sitting plastic stool is mold. There is a scrubbing brush hanging on the wall.
